Sauna sessions with a view of the sea waves

In the world of saunas, you can warm up in five different saunas: a Finnish sauna with panoramic views of the ENvenian sea, a herbal Finnish sauna, a Turkish sauna where you can enjoy the unique experience of an Istrian hammam, an infrared sauna, and a salt sauna (salt room). After enjoying a sauna, you can cool down in the pleasantly cold pool and enjoy the benefits of Kneipp baths on the barefoot trail. To complete the sauna experience, every visitor can try a salt scrub with Mediterranean herbs.

Warming up with the most beautiful views

Finnish sauna

The traditional Finnish sauna is the most common form of sauna as well as one of the earliest, having been in use now for more than a thousand years. It acts on the body indirectly, by heating the air in a closed, insulated, usually wooden room. Take 15-minute breaks between sessions, during which you can enjoy the unique views of the Slovenian sea.

Istrian hammam

The speciality of the world of saunas at Wellness Benedicta is the only hammam on the Slovenian coast. The so-called "Istrian hammam” is a special type of sauna which we will use to take you through popular Istrian-themed rituals of external body cleansing. After exfoliation with salt and a cleansing treatment using natural lavender and rosemary essential oil soap, we will alternately rinse your body with warm and cold water. And at the end, depending on the needs of your skin, we will also choose suitable natural body wraps.

Salt room

Wellness Benedicta in Hotel Histrion is located near the salt pans and is surrounded by the sea on all sides, so it would be a shame if you didn’t enjoy the beneficial effects of salt in our salt room during your visit. It has a beneficial effect on the respiratory system and prevents the development of respiratory diseases. It is recommended that adults spend at least one hour on the comfortable wooden loungers, while enjoying the beneficial effects of the aerosols released by the Slovenian coast salt that's embedded in the walls and floor of the room.

Sauna programmes

A salt scrub with Mediterranean herbs is included in the sauna price and is available to all visitors. On weekends, air swirling programmes in the Finnish and Turkish saunas are available free of charge. For a surcharge we also offer a hammam ritual, which includes scrubbing and soaping.
