Thanks to its the beneficial effects, we recommend you start with a dip in the sea or in a seawater swimming pool, followed by some additional cleansing of the body. In order to allow the salt to have the best effect on the body, we recommend you continue with a 10 – 15 min sauna session, which will warm you up and open your pores. Then do a body peeling, which will ensure a deep cleansing of the skin and prepare it for the following detox steps. After the peeling, still with the salt on your body, you can return into the sauna, where the heat and the salt will detox the body even more. How can we detox at home?

3 simple peelings with a Mediterranean touch
1. PEELING WITH SALT AND OLIVE OIL
Ingredients:
- half a cup of sea salt
- half a cup of olive oil
- citrus extract (optional)
2. PEELING WITH ROSEMARY
Ingredients:
- two teaspoons of finely cut rosemary
- quarter of a cup of sea salt
- one tablespoon of lemon juice
- one tablespoon of honey
3. PEELING WITH LAVENDER
Ingredients:
- 5 tablespoons of lavender flowers
- 25 ml olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of floral glycerine
- 20 drops of lavender essential oil
- 5 drops of grapefruit oil
Mix all the ingredients and apply them to the body with circular movements. Massage the peeling and when you’re done wash off what is left on the skin. Apply a moisturising product to hydrate the skin and enjoy its suppleness.
With salt peelings make sure that the salt used is finely grounded. Ungrounded salt can scratch or damage the skin. Salt is rich in magnesium and other minerals that help in case of various skin conditions, rheumatism related issues, reduce inflammations and relax muscles.
DETOX BATH
A salty bath is ideal for a deep detox and some relax.
Ingredients:
- 300 g magnesium sulphate
- 100 g sea salt

Mix the magnesium sulphate and the salt, pour the mix in the bathtub, fill it with warm water and take a bath for 20 minutes. If the water gets cold, add more hot water. This kind of bath stimulates perspiration and ensures a god night’s sleep. It is recommended for al skin types but it is not suitable for people with high blood pressure or eczema.
