At Wellness Živa, we take you on a journey of regeneration using the natural healing methods of Arnold Rikli. Arnold Rikli, the natural healer who set up a health resort in Bled in the 19th century, once wrote: »Our every thought, breath, heartbeat, every feeling, belief and movement send energy signals through the body, affecting our whole being.” Wellness Živa follows this thought, offering a wide range of relaxing massages, baths, body and facial treatments and saunas. The concept is complemented by Alpine wellness and the use of local ingredients such as spruce tips and honey from Carniolan honey bees.
At the Rikli Balance Hotel, we pride ourselves on fresh and seasonal ingredients. We use locally sourced products, from fresh local vegetables and dairy products to prime trout from the local fish farm. We prepare all the sauces ourselves, make the best jams from home-made ingredients, and also make home-made ice cream. We also follow the concept of Arnold Rikli, who advocated an ascetic and meat-free diet. His menu consisted of local, fresh and healthy ingredients, which can also be found in the breakfasts and dinners offered at the Rikli Balance Hotel.
In mid-19th century, healer Arnold Rikli turned Bled into a progressive health resort. He focused on the town’s natural properties – the fresh air, the water, and the sunshine – for better well-being. Part of Rikli's treatment was also barefoot walking, a method that we have developed onto Rikli's barefoot path in order to reduce stress and worry. Rikli's relaxation park next to the Rikli Balance Hotel offers a place where you can focus on yourself. By practicing yoga in the beautiful surroundings of the park, you can calm your mind and relax your body.
The congress centre of the Rikli Balance Hotel is the very heart of Bled's congress offer and it specializes in green teambuilding, such as learning about shepherd traditions, the Rikli adventure or discovering local crafts. We also apply the green concept in the spirit of Arnold Rikli when preparing conference refreshments, where healthy snacks predominate. Our conference halls offer a beautiful view of Lake Bled.
